FAQ

I have a last minute need, can you help?

Yes! Anywhere, anytime. Just call us at 877-670-6776 !

What is MyMotionCalendar.com?

MyMotionCalendar.com is a division of Strategic Professional Staffing, a staffing and recruiting firm. We provide coverage attorneys that cover hearings, mediations and other matters for law firms and corporate legal departments. The company is owned by Jonathan L. Broder, Esq., a licensed attorney in Florida.

Can I hire you as my attorney?

No. MyMotionCalendar.com is not a law firm, does not engage in the practice of law, and does not offer any of its services to the general public. Nor do we provide referrals to the public.

I want to join the network of coverage attorneys.

Please send us your resume/profile/bio and practice areas along with your complete contact information to info@mymotioncalendar.com. You will then be contacted for an interview.

We are currently not seeking additional coverage attorneys.

How do I obtain coverage?

Simply register as a user and submit a New Reservation. To register, all you need is your contact information and a valid credit card. (We only charge your card once the matter is completed).

Upon submitting an order, you will receive one email that informs you that we received the order. Once the coverage attorney has confirmed coverage, you will receive a second email informing you that coverage is confirmed.

In the reservation process you will provide us with all the case details like case name, case number, type of hearing, date, time, location and name of judge and opposing counsel. You will also be able to upload 10 documents. Every order should contain, at a minimum, the Notice of Hearing, motion and responsive pleadings at issue, and a copy of the docket. You should provide ALL documents an attorney in your firm would need in order to prepare for and cover the hearing. Finally, you will have an opportunity to provide instructions, background information, and the desired outcome.

You can always request and reserve a time to have a conference call with the coverage attorney.

Can I communicate with the coverage attorney?

Yes. You can speak with our coverage attorneys regarding any matter at any time. Just ask us and we will arrange a conference call for you.

How do I instruct the coverage attorney?

Each matter requires a reservation and for each matter you must fill out a form which requires that you provide all pertinent information, documents and detailed guidance and instructions. MyMotionCalendar.com does not in any way instruct the covering attorneys on how to handle a matter. That is the client’s sole responsibility. Please read How do I obtain coverage? link as well.

What documents do they need?

Any document and pleading etc. that you or an attorney in your firm would need to handle the matter MUST be provided to our coverage attorney.

Disclosure Requirements

You should disclose the nature of the services provided by MyMotionCalendar.com in accordance with Bar rules and most certainly should inform your clients if your clients would likely consider this information material.

What are the fees?

MyMotionCalendar.com charges a fee for the hiring and temporary contracting of the coverage attorneys in our network. Our fees vary based on the location, type of matter(s), and volume. Most hearings are $150. Bulk pricing is available.

What about conflicts?

Both the hiring attorney/firm and the coverage attorney have an obligation to review the matter for potential conflicts in accordance with the Bar rules. If there is any conflict with any party, the coverage attorney cannot participate in any way in handling or assisting with the matter.

What about confidentiality and security?

Coverage attorneys are bound by all rules regarding confidentiality under the Bar rules and must not disclose any confidential information obtained during the course of assisting the client.

For information about our IT platform and security, please click here.

What about liability?

The coverage attorney is deemed to be “associated” with the hiring attorney/firm and is responsible for all supervision and instruction to the covering attorney.
